Jaljala, situated in Thabang Village of the Rolpa district is one of the recently opened trekking areas (trail) in Nepal. In the spring, land with colorful carpet of wild blossoms, green meadows and Rhododendron forests, presence of more than hundreds of species of birds and wild life such as leopard, bear, Musk deer and wild boar is another attraction of Jaljala. One can have panoramic views of Mt.Sisne, Mt.Putha, Mt.Dhaulagiri, Mt.Annapurna and other mountains. The area is mostly populated by Magar, one of the indigenous people of Nepal, it is a wonderful experience to have a close look at their way of life style and culture. Jaljala is also a pilgrim site where pilgrims from different regions of Nepal visit annually.

Day 01

Arrival in Airport and transfer to hotel, rest day, itinerary briefing

Day 02

Kathmandu Valley Tour

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Bhalubang ( 8 hour drive)

Bhalubang is situated on the banks of the Rapti River. Stay overnight at lodge in Bhalubang.

Day 04: Drive from Bhalubang to Sulichur (800m/ 5 hour drive)

You travel along the length of the Mali and Lungri streams. Sulichur is a small bazaar where you stay half for the night. Stay overnight at lodge in Sulichur. Day 05: Trek from Sulichur to Jelbang (1655m/ 8 hour) The trail takes on some ascents and descents to reach Jelbang. During the spring season, one can find people searching for gold in the Phagam stream. On the way you will observe the Magar community busy in their daily chores in the fields and homes. Stay overnight in Camp.

Day 06: Trek from Jelbang to Bagtare (5 hour)

You follow an ascending trail up to Bagtare. Some gold and iron mines are situated in this region. Stay overnight in Camp.

Day 07: Trek from Bagtare to Jaljala (3160m/ 5 hour)

It is an ascending trail that brings you to Jaljala. Stay overnight in camp. Day 08: Rest day in Jaljala. In spring, full bloom of wild flowers and Rhododendron will mesmerize you. Green meadows and the superb views of various mountains such as Mt.Sisne, Mt.Putha, Mt.Dhaulagiri, and Mt.Annapurna will fascinate you. Pilgrims sites like Kailu Baraha, Sahadev Baraha and Bajyu Baraha is worth visitng. Also, visit to the Bhama cave can be an interesting trip. Stay overnight in camp.

Day 09: Trek from Jaljala to Thabang (2000m/ 4 hour).

The trek trail now passes through a descending path to arrive at Thabang. Thabang is the source of the Maoist movement in Nepal. Stay overnight in camp.

Day 10: Explore around Thabang

This day you can enjoy the cultural program that exhibit the various forms of Magar dances such as Dhikure, Bhumya, etc. Both young and old join together to participate in the yearly festival known as “Bhumya festival” to appease the nature god and pray for the blessings to save their fields and homes from the might of the natural calamities. Stay overnight in camp.

Day 11: Trek from Thabang to Uwa(6-7 hour).

This day you follow through some ascents and descents before you halt at Uwa for the night. Stay overnight in Camp.  

Day 12: Trek from Uwa to Phuliban (3 hour).

From Phuliban drive to Sulichur that takes one and half hours. You can have a sight of the Sunchhahari cascade on the way. You can also sight people searching closely for gold in the stream of Lungri during the spring season. Stay overnight at lodge in Sulichur.

Day 13: Drive from Sulichur to Bhalubang (5 hour drive)

Stay overnight at lodge in Bhalubang.

Day 14: Drive from Bhalubang to Kathmandu (8 hour drive)

Day 15: Free day in Kathmandu

Day 16: Final Departure for home

Please note: Clients are suggested to give maximum of 10 to 12 Kg. of personal luggage to the porter. Also, please note that on the domestic flight you are only allowed to carry your luggage of 10 Kg and 5 Kg as a hand carry.
