Western Nepal lies in the rain shadow of Dhaulagiri so the monsoon is relatively light. The best time to trek is from late May to mid October to avoid the heavy snow that may cause the difficulties to cross the high passes. Though, western region of Nepal is less travelled and have few trekking destinations, but, it offers its own unique landscapes, culture and mountain views. The region is marked by the rugged land of elevated open valleys, long rides, temperate forest, alpine meadows and virgin rivers. The region still holds the remnants of the culturally rich bygone era, and one can find sculptured temples, stone pillars and carving throughout the region.
